Microsoft Courier, a device which is kind of convergence between a tablet, PDA and an e-book reader has been doing rounds on the Internet, with no official word from Microsoft yet, however guys over at Engadget have revealed some refreshing interface and concept videos of Courier, referring it as “Digital Journal”. Courier is expected to be a light weight device measuring a 5” x 7 “ in size with dual display panels powered by Tegra 2.

Bluetooth SIG (Special Interest Group) is currently working on the new Bluetooth 4.0 specification which can be seen in devices by the end of 2010, the new specification allows for very low power consumption capabilities, thus can be used in the small devices like watches and gadgets with button cells. Previous version of Bluetooth requires atleast AAA or large capacity batteries to work properly.

Acer has unveiled two new projectors that are compatible with NVIDIA’s GeForce 3D Vision technology and are capable of transforming standard 2D content into beautiful 3D content. Two projectors were launched H5360 and X1261, both can produce stereoscopic 3D images and videos, H5360 is a HDMI projector with 720p HD resolution, has 2,500 lumen brightness and sports a contrast ratio of 3200:1.

This new way of interactive technology using the body as an Input Source was showcased at the Microsoft Annual TechFest event recently held in Redmond. This muscle-computer interface technology uses wearable bio-acoustic sensors that analyzes the mechanical vibrations while we tap fingers on the skin, which are then used as an input command.

Microsoft at its Redmond campus has showcased a new voice translation technology that clearly indicates how our future voice language translations will be going to occur, that is with software. We can communicate with a person speaking another language in our language, what this translating phone does is, it first transcribes the voice of a person, in the video below from German voice to German text then the software converts it to English text and then using text-to-speech technology it outputs into English voice.

Indian webmasters and freelancers alike had a hard time facing the sudden blockage to funds withdrawal forced by PayPal last month, its only now that PayPal has issued clear instructions on how to withdraw PayPal funds to India, In this post by Farhad Irani at the official PayPal blog, he has explained that the new directives issued to them by RBI requires all Indian PayPal users to input a Purpose Code while withdrawing funds to Indian Banks, this code is required to identify the nature of cross-border merchant transactions.
