Default Should I go ahead and buy a PS3?

    Hi guys,

I'm considering buying a PlayStation 3 but I don't know whether to wait until what I think will be called the PlayStation 4 to come out, or go ahead and buy the PlayStation 3. Can I have some advice on whether I should go ahead and buy the PlayStation 3 now or wait until the new PlayStation comes out? What is the rough timeline for new PlayStation releases based on the release of the PS1, PS2 and PS3?

    Thanks!

Don't wait for PS4, it is still faraway, 2 years atleast. Now is the right time to buy PS3, as prices have also been slashed and most of the older must buy games are available at bargain prices, and don't forget it plays Blu-Rays too.

Yes, I want to buy PS3 too. Is better than xBox 360 or any other consoles. I don't know where is to right place to buy it, I mean the place with the lower prices.

The PS3 is probably one of the best consoles on the market and will be for the foreseeable future. Sony really engineered a terrific product and IBM provided them with the amazing Cell processor architecture. As far as I know from reading and talking with game design students at a local college the developers of game software for the PS3 still are not getting the most out of the hardware platform. Definitely buy one if you can afford it.
