A new system software 4.00 has now been released for the PlayStation 3 gaming console, the new firmware can be downloaded from below for manual installation using pen drive else you can download and upgrade directly to the newer 4.00 firmware from your PS3, Go to Settings -> System Settings -> Software update to check for the latest PS3 firmware.

This update adds PS VITA support to the PS3.
