Following the launch of Iconia Tab A500, a 10.1-inch Android/Windows 7 based tablet, Acer has now extended the Iconia series with the release of Acer Dual screen laptop, Iconia A100 and Iconia Smart A300. Research In Motion has dropped the curtains of its latest creation, the PlayBook, launched at the recently held annual BlackBerry Developer conference, It sports an impressive array of features and good hardware to back it up, powered by the BlackBerry’s Tablet OS developed by the recently acquired QNX, the tablet boasts of Flash support, multi-tasking and streamlined OS with full support for latest web standards. Samsung Galaxy Tab is the upcoming capacitive touchscreen tablet device running on Android 2.2 featuring a 7 inch display, autofocus camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. Exact details of the internal hardware haven’t been revealed yet but expect similar hardware to that of Samsung Galaxy S.

Asus the pioneers of the netbook revolution has launched another trump card with the affordable Eee PC T91 touchscreen netbook priced sweetly at $499, with this Asus has started another era of touchscreen netbooks and it will be followed by other manufactures. The T91 EeePC Touch specifications has disappointed though, it is powered by a Intel Atom Z520 processor clocked at sluggish 1.33 GHz, small 16GB SSD, they would have make it better but then they also have to release more models in the future with slightly different specs as they did with the Eee Netbooks.

Dell has announced the Latitude XT2 Tablet PC which is the first Tablet PC with multi touch screen capabilities. Asus Touchscreen Eeetop PCs which are expected later this year has already been caught up in a video demo. The interface is a modified Windows XP suitable for easy touch interface. The interface shows big icons for easy touchability and the unit is working except the hanging problem in the end but remember its just a early prototype. The design looks pretty much good, it sports a display of 15 inches, Express Gate technology for instant on. (more…)
