Rapidshare’s Captcha Gone, Speed Gets Limited

There’s a good news for all the Rapidshare addicts out there, now you people can download your favorite files from Rapidshare without going through the Captcha verification, previously users have to enter a weird Captcha code by carefully looking at the cats and mouse to verify that you are indeed a human. As the Captcha is removed some limitations has popped up which restricts the download capability for free users to 500 kilobit per second(62.6 KB/s). This has been done to prevent the abuse of Rapidshare servers and to protect them from congestion and automated downloads.

WebApps Mania: Twitter still leads Friendfeed!

Today Michael Arrington made an interesting post on Twitter Vs. Friendfeed. While he included that friendfeed users are growing much faster than twitters but the traffic charts are showing a different story here. The charts reveal that friendfeed still has a long way to go. The young competitor does not even have 1/4th the traffic of Twitter.

Well in terms of features Friendfeed is far ahead from Twitter. I started using friendfeed regularly a few days ago and now I feel like I am getting addicted to it. It just gets my all updates in a single page. Also watching out friends updates in real time is a good fun. Friendfeed is gathering twice the comments that are made on Twitter on a same story published on both but still it is low on traffic.

iPhone 3G Madness - The "Q" is ready a week before!

We know that iPhone 3G is one of the biggest hit of the year but this is unbelievable. Engadget is reporting that the line for buying iPhone 3G is already up in front of Fifth Avenue Apple Store, New York. A family (including a baby) and some other people have already started a line outside the Apple Store.

The family is attempting to break the world record for waiting in a line. The intense thing is that baby is also there as part of the very eager family. Macbook Air SSD price gets down by $500

The thinnest notebook ever is getting thin on prices. Apple’s Macbook Air, the thinnest notebook ever has gone through a price drop of $500 U.S. dollars as the prices of Solid State Drives rates have been draining rapidly.

Googlers Personal Data Stolen!

Colt Express Outsourcing Services which previously used to manage Google employees data had gone through a robbery on May 26. The computers were stolen which contained un-encrypted data that Colt claimed to be password protected of the employees who worked for Google till December 31, 2005.

This included the employees names, address, contact numbers, etc. But amazingly no case of the misuse of data in any sense has appeared yet.

Hey Adsense Referrals, we will miss you!

Google has finally made the official announcement about the retirement of the Google Adsense Referrals. Google acquired DoubleClick a while ago and is finally implementing its technology & had built the Google Affiliate Network (GAN). GAN will work same as Google Adsense Referrals but the difference here will be that GAN will be targeting users located in the United States.

New plan ready to explode Web Domains

The organisation which manages Internet domains has passed a new deal.  The .com era will now be ending in the coming years as the newly born plan will let companies select the domains matching their name. For eg. Hp can use .hp or IBM can have .ibm domains.

This new proposal will let companies have unlimited number of so-called top level domains. Countries, States, cities can have their own premium domains such as .india , .mp , .bhopal , .brasil etc. Also more general terms will be available like .sports, .news, .games, .cars, .1234 , etc. The list is simply endless. "Good Bye, Bill Gates"

Yesterday was the the last day of the well known Bill Gates at Microsoft as a full time employee. He had worked really hard at Microsoft and made it touch the sky. Gates has been working since past 33 years in Microsoft and made the company stand out. It was Microsoft’s Windows who made the computing easier at that time when the people were not so familiar with computers. The simplicity of Windows made tons of users to feel the power of computing.

Today over 78,000 Microsoft employees working around the globe now needs a really good Gates’ successor in order to stay against the newly born giants like Google. Microsoft is facing a real challenge as Yahoo rejected the final offer of $33 per share and signed the advertising deal with Google. This indicates that Microsoft needs genuine guidance to stay in the market & compete with them.

He had also given a statement that he will be devoting his billions of wealth for eradicating disease & poverty.

Google Trends a engine developed by Google was previously used to record the queries of Google has now been extended for providing traffic data estimates for websites.

The updated Google Trends for Websites again left behind the small blog’s & website’s in the dust. Its the same thing that Alexa did some years before. As these small blogger have a very low traffic as compared to the leaders, these smart engines like Google Trends or Alexa can’t just figure out stats for smaller one’s throwing them into the dust cloud again.
