PS3 Hacked By GeoHot [PS3 Hacking]

Geohot tweeted today claiming that he has hacked the Playstation 3, in his latest blog entry he mentioned that the PS3 hardware is now hacked, how?  He has gained READ/WRITE access to entire system memory of PS3, he also got HV level access to the processor of PS3 and all he has do now is write software for it and do some reversing.

After the launch of its high priced 58XX series of graphics cards, ATI has now thrown another trump card in the form of an affordable graphics card HD 5670 which being a DirectX 11 card, is priced at less than $100. The graphics card market has been through many ups and downs but ATI is at it like they don’t want to leave any chance for NVIDIA. This card also support the Eyefinity technology, so now can have a triple monitor setup with a sub $100 graphics card and with ATI Stream technology Windows 7 will work like breeze on it.

Dell surprised us when they launched a premium Alienware M11x, a 11.6 inch gaming laptop at the CES 2010, it is meant for the die hard gamers out there who wants portable gaming without giving out on graphics, M11x sports a 720p resolution display along with NVIDIA GT335M graphics for the crisp gaming experience, when not gaming it churns out 6.5 hours of battery life in standard mode, in gaming mode it dies out in sub 2 hours, but that is the case with all Alienware laptops.

Video of Desktop Super Computer: FASTRA II

Researchers or I would say geeks at the Antwerp University have created a desktop supercomputer FASTRA II utilizing six NVIDIA GTX295 dual-GPU cards and one GTX 275 single GPU card to create a machine that most of the gamers haven’t even dreamt of yet. FASTRA II churns out 12Teraflops and uses ASUS motherboard with 7 PCI express slots having custom BIOS provided by Asus, 12GB DDR3 memory, multiple power supplies, Core i7, 1TB Samsung HDD and a little modified Lian-Li PC case. A Startup in Finland Ball-it has come up with a new squeezable game controller ball having inbuilt advanced sensors that can track movements, height, pressure, rotation to play the 6 Fun & Fit games (basketball, archery, karate, long jumping, 100 meter sprint, ski jumping) that comes bundled with it, for eg if you want to play basketball just throw Blobo in the air whereas squeezing action will shoot an arrow, similarly swinging it hard will let you break the stack of boards. Blobo can work wirelessly with a PC and mobile using the Bluetooth technology.

How to Manage Multiple Displays with ATI Catalyst Control Center

Recently I’ve switched to dual monitor setup to improve productivity, and additional  LG Full HDTV for movies, I’ve three screens: 2 No.s of Dell 2209WA and third is a 42” Full HD LG LH70YR and I’ve connected all these three screens to the Palit ATI 4870 Dual Sonic graphics card using two DVI port for Dell Monitors and TV with RGB Analog, here I will tell you how to manage multiple screens with ATI Catalyst Control Center, But there is one catch you can only drive 2 screens at a time with 48xx series of cards, the current generation of cards like 5850 and 5870 could run upto 3-6 screens at a time, the procedure is same.
