Google TV to Merge TV Viewing and Internet

Google has partnered with Intel, Sony and Logitech to bring a set-top box named Google TV based on Android platform, featuring Intel Atom processor that will let you enjoy the web apps like YouTube, Twitter, Facebook and other similar sites  just by changing channels, Google TV will also feature a version of Chrome browser developed specifically for the device for surfing web. The Android based Google TV software will be open source for software developers, which means more creative applications for your TV.

WD Unveils My Passport AV Portable HDD with Direct Copy

Western Digital has introduced new My Passport AV portable drives which are optimized specifically for video storage and media playback. They can be used with Blu-Ray players, game console or any other media players with USB connectivity, the new portable drives also features Direct Copy functionality that allows you to directly copy from compatible devices like Sony’s new Handycam to your WD My Passport AV drive bypassing the computer, which will save time and you can record even more without worrying about deleting stuff.

Acer Unveils 3D Projectors [Projectors 2010]

Acer has unveiled two new projectors that are compatible with NVIDIA’s GeForce 3D Vision technology and are capable of transforming standard 2D content into beautiful 3D content. Two projectors were launched H5360 and X1261, both can produce stereoscopic 3D images and videos, H5360 is a HDMI projector with 720p HD resolution, has 2,500 lumen brightness and sports a contrast ratio of 3200:1.

WD Rolls Out My Passport Studio with e-label

Western Digital has announced the availability of new My Passport Studio portable HDD which features the FireWire 800 interface for speedy data transfers and customizable e-label utilizing the e-paper technology for better visibility of digital labels, which works even when the drive is unplugged. The device sports a stylish look, with an option of personalizing the drive with e-label showing your name or labelling it according to its content using the bundled SmartWare Software, the e-label also shows available space and whether it is locked or not.

Acer 3D S5200 DLP Projector [3D Projectors 2010]

Acer has made available its latest 3D projector S5200 which is a normal projector with one huge difference, it supports 3D viewing when used with 3D capable graphics card and 3D glasses, it sports 120Hz refresh rate, 60Hz for each eye. The only downside is that it supports only 1024×768 XGA resolution with 4:3 ratio, so if you were looking for a 3D projector for your high definition 3D home theatre, this is not for you.

PS3 Hacked By GeoHot [PS3 Hacking]

Geohot tweeted today claiming that he has hacked the Playstation 3, in his latest blog entry he mentioned that the PS3 hardware is now hacked, how?  He has gained READ/WRITE access to entire system memory of PS3, he also got HV level access to the processor of PS3 and all he has do now is write software for it and do some reversing.
