WordPress has released the expected iPhone app this morning. It allow users of WordPress.com and the WordPress self hosted blogs to blog directly from their iPhone. The other blogging app released today is TypePad. These applications make mobile blogging a whole lot easier. Also live blogging can be done via these apps without any hitch. WordPress posted a video on their new iPhone blog featuring the cool things you can do with the “WordPress for iPhone” app.

The iPhone 2.0 firmware is finally out with new iTunes. Not only it features the new app store but a whole lot of things are there. Those who have already bought an iPhone (1st generation) and are not willing to buy a new one (iPhone 3G) can still make out much from their existing iPhone/iPod Touch.

The iTunes Store possess both free and paid applications featuring Games to Productivity apps. Major socializing groups like Facebook, MySpace have already rolled out their app for iPhone. You can send messages, view profiles, chat with friends via facebook app directly from your iPhone/iPod Touch. NYTimes also rolled an application for their daily newsletter.

We know that iPhone 3G is one of the biggest hit of the year but this is unbelievable. Engadget is reporting that the line for buying iPhone 3G is already up in front of Fifth Avenue Apple Store, New York. A family (including a baby) and some other people have already started a line outside the Apple Store.

The thinnest notebook ever is getting thin on prices. Apple’s Macbook Air, the thinnest notebook ever has gone through a price drop of $500 U.S. dollars as the prices of Solid State Drives rates have been draining rapidly.

Last night we had a lot of fun with a sub-live blogging session of WWDC 2008. Apple released the new iPhone 3G with new firmware 2.0 supporting 3rd party Applications. This firmware version can also be update in the current iPhone’s. The launch of iPhone 3G is set on July 11. The most sexy feature of iPhone is its price. $199 for a 8GB version & $299 for a 16GB version. Isn’t that superb?
Apple will be really beating the market of Smartphones with the new iPhone prices. Another add-on they launched yesterday is the App store for iPhone. iPhone users can browse the free & paid apps and download & install them wirelessly. These application will be built by Apple & also the 3rd party developers. Apple will keep 30% share of the price set by developer. Developers can also release the apps for free if they want, in that case apple will also won’t take any amount.

So as expected, Apple officially announced the iPhone 2.0 at the WWDC. Here are some of the new features
- It supports 3G and faster data networks
- It supports GPRS
- Apple has changed the design a little bit and has made it more thinner
- It will be availbale in 22 countries starting July 11
- The price has been reduced : $199 for the 8GB and $299 for the 16GB
- Third party applications and the App store will be available in Early July
- And it has a longer lasting battery life which is an awesome feature
It will also have Typepad, an application for the bloggers so that they can easily upload images and content. The Appstore will now contain fresh 3D games such as Super Monkey Ball, racing games etc. It will cost around $9.99 to download a game. The iPhone 2.0 SDK will be available from July and it will be free for iPhone users. And Airtel will be bringing the iPhone 2.0 to India later this year. Details about pricing will be available later.
Steve Jobs is all set to roll out a 3G version of renowned Apple iPhone on Monday. This new generation of iPhone are expected to have GPS, a front VGA camera, blended smart looks, etc. The great rumor is that NO-AT&T thing has finally gone through apple’s mind i.e. Apple may also sell unlocked iPhone’s this time but still it remains a rumor.

Apple has finally decided to stay away from the exclusive single carrier deals and now it will roll out its iconic iPhone with Bharti’s Airtel network in India along with Vodafone network. Though not much details have been revealed yet but according to news sources the cost of the iPhone 8 GB will be in the range of 25,000 INR to 28,000 INR while 16 GB version will cost even more , the heftier price tag is not justified as its available in US at around 17,000 INR for 8 GB version. Apple’s iPhone is selling like crazy and for users in the countries like India where it has not yet released have no option but to import and unlock the iPhone to make it work locally. Today my cousin(Ripul Ryu) asked me if he should opt for the version 1.1.3 or should he go with the iPhone version 1.1.4 and how to unlock it.
