PlayStation 4

A new report from DigiTimes have surfaced according to which the next generation of PlayStation Console PS4 might be arriving sooner than later and it is expected that the production will begin by the end of 2011 with a release date in 2012. It will be manufactured by Foxconn and Pegatron Technology, the same manufacturers who are currently handling the PlayStation 3.

Though the PS3 lifecycle is far from over but it does makes sense as Microsoft is also planning to launch the successor of Xbox 360, whereas Nintendo is coming up with Wii U and Sony won’t like to left behind this time. If you remember Sony’s PS3 was late full one year before it arrived at the stores when compared to Xbox, as a result Xbox 360 got a good head start and PS3 is still catching up. It is also rumored that the new PS4 will also have motion sensors built in.

PlayStation 4 Release Date

Q4, 2012 (not official yet)

Chris J says:

Something must release something else. it can’t simply release itself. A person or company can release a Playstation, but a Playstation can’t “release” nothing. A Playstation can only BE released.

The title should read “Playstation 4 to BE RELEASED in 2012”.
