When it comes to a good and comfortable gaming mouse which also offers great value for money then there is no competition for Logitech MX518, soon Logitech will launch a successor to this legend. The company has recently announced G400 which is expected to replace the MX518. Let’s see if this optical gaming mouse is good enough to replace the beloved MX518.

With G400, Logitech has made some very wise decisions. It did not tried to change the things which were already good in MX518 like its basic shape, tracking consistency, button layout, and durability.

Logitech has increased DPI from 1800 to 3600 which can aid some of the gamers. However most of the gamers prefer their mouse to be on 1600 DPI. What will really help gamers in G400 is the increased report rate which is now 1000 reports per second, the maximum supported by USB port in Windows. 25% lighter and thinner mouse cable is another factor that will improve the overall performance of the mouse.

Logitech G400 will make its debut on June 19 in US and in mid-July internationally, with a price tag of $49.99.
