Nokia has recently announced their first dual SIM handsets, C1(C1-00) & C2. C1 is a double-SIM phone, which means that it can carry two SIMs but only one can be activated at a time, on the other hand C2 is a dual-SIM phone in which both SIM cards will work simultaneously.
Nokia Double SIM C1 Details
Nokia boasts of an amazing battery life of C1 with a standby time of 6 weeks. The series 30 phone also offers a storage capacity of 500 phonebook entries and 250 text messages. It has also got some nifty features like flashlight and FM radio.
This 73g, 15mm thin phone will come in four colors, blue, red light grey, and green.
Price and Release Date of Nokia C1
Expect it to release somewhere in the 3rd quarter of 2010, with a price tag of $36 (Rs 1700).
Nokia Dual SIM C2 Details
C2 comes with a very unique feature, that is, it can carry two SIM at a time, and one of them is hot-swappable! That means you can change SIM card while the phone is switched on.
C2 will come pre-loaded with Ovi Live Tools and Ovi Mail. Moreover with support for micro-SD cards of up to 32GB. You can also listen to music via either FM radio or music player. It has a standby time of up to 16.5 days
The phone offers a storage capacity of 1000 phonebook entries, VGA camera, bluetooth, and GPRS. This series 40 phone will be available in five colors, that is, grey, black, magenta, dark blue, and white.
Price and Release Date of Nokia C2
Expect it to release in the 4th quarter of 2010, with a price tag of $55 (Rs 2550).
UPDATE: So finally after a delay of around six months, Nokia has finally unveiled C2-00 in Indian market. Nokia has changed some of the things in the final release of the phone like there are only three colors available in C2-00 viz., white, jet black and grey. This dual SIM handset is priced below Rs 3000 (price may vary according to the region) which can attract customers who want a decent dual SIM phone from a well known brand.
