With the launch of new 4.0 OS for iPhone, a number of new APIs were also made available for the developers so that they can start developing apps for the new iPhone OS. Recently it has been discovered that the new APIs have a hidden mention of front facing iPhone camera along with LED Flash which might be headed to iPhone HD/iPhone 4G.

Some of the new API Instances that were added to iPhone 4.0 SDK are

AVCaptureDevice.flashmode

AVCaptureDevice.hasflash

AVCaptureDevice.hasTorch

AVCaptureDevicePositionFront – front face camera hint

A interesting application was also found running in the background of new OS 4.0, named iChatAgent, which hints at the upcoming iChat software for iPhone.
