NVIDIA has finally dropped the curtains of GTX 470 and GTX 480 GeForce graphics cards which we discussed previously, NVIDIA is claiming GeForce GTX 480 to be the fastest GPU in the world, having 480 visual processing cores, 60 texture units and 1.536 GB GDDR5 RAM, they are also boasting of optimized multi-card SLI support which provides up-to a 90% performance boost with second graphics card.

On the other hand GTX 470 has 448 CUDA Cores, 56 texture units and 1.28 GB of GDDR5 RAM. GTX 480 and GTX 470 consumes around 250W and 215W respectively.
NVIDIA GTX 480/470 are the first NVIDIA graphics cards to support the DirectX 11 games which has been in the market for a while now, thanks to aggressive ATI releases of 5800 series.
