GeoHot has finally released the PS3 exploit publically on his blog yesterday, the hack is a code level hack which is not yet useful for the end users, users who wish to play PS3 backup games downloaded from the Internet will be disappointed though, as the hack has yet to refined, a lot of securities have yet to broken, even if someone goes ahead and releases a working user friendly exploit, Sony will soon come out with a new firmware which again will lock users out.
The hack works with PS3 Firmware 2.4.2 but might also work with current versions and the newer PS3 Slims aren’t supported.
