Not that we need DirectX 11 so much, but AMD sure want us to believe so and is accelerating things with DirectX 11 games and graphics cards. why? because NVIDIA is yet to launch a DirectX 11 graphics card and ATI has its Evergreen GPU ready now, they already demonstrated its awesomeness and want to benefit as the first mover.
With Microsoft launching DirectX 11 SDK for developers, you could well witness the first DirectX 11 game Dirt 2 in December.
Here is a list of upcoming games for DirectX 11 for Windows 7 and Vista (the list will be updated frequently as soon as new games are announced)

nvidia GTX295 does DX11 – and faster/better than ATI too… what’s the bogus “only card” FUD all about?
295GTX does not do DirectX 11 and therefore it cannot do better than ATI. At the moment, no nVidia DirectX 11 GPU is available. If it did support directx 11 it would be in the 3 series. Source http://www.nvidia.com/object/product_geforce_gtx_295_us.html supports my point and I also used common sense.

This new API is incredible. Everything looks amazing! I have ran the Unigine benchmarking tool and the difference of DX11 and DX10 is ridiculous.

hell i don’t understand this nvidia rocks kind of guys… ati has great video cards. You must be an idiot to buy a nvidia card just for being nvidia. When you buy a video card you must consider the price/performance ratio. And for now if you want dx 11 your only choice is ATI.
