Ultrasn0w is a new unlock software for iPhone 3G OS 3.0 which works on jailbreaked iPhone 3G, as we previously discussed you can jailbreak your iPhone 3G with Redsn0w Jailbreak software and then use Ultrasn0w from Cydia to unlock your iPhone 3G for free, a successful unlock will allow your iPhone 3G to be used on any carrier.

Instructions to Unlock your iPhone 3G OS 3.0 with Ultrasn0w

  • Upgrade your iPhone firmware to OS 3.0
  • Jailbreak iPhone 3G using Redsn0w jailbreaking software
  • Run Cydia/Icy and Add repo666.ultrasn0w.com
  • Search for Ultrasnow, Install Ultrasnow
  • Reboot
  • Unlocking of your iPhone 3G is now complete.

The unlock works on early models of iPhone as well but we are still to witness unlocking software for iPhone 3GS, which is expected soon.
