Yesterday while searching for alternatives to Adobe Photoshop, I came across this great little utility for Windows. If you ever wish to think beyond vast universe of Photoshop, Paint.Net is just the right application for you. I have described it as a “great little” utility. Why? Towards the end of this article you will get your answer.

So, Paint.Net is not like any other image and photo editing software. It has got enormous features accompanied with all powerful tools that can give an extremely mind blowing effects to your images. You can take my word on that. It has got such an easy and simple user interface that even if you are newbie to graphics and designing world, you can act like a professional at any point of time.

Paint.Net can handle multiple images at the same time very easily using a tabbed document interface. The tabs display a live thumbnail of the image instead of a text description that makes navigation very simple and fast. The best thing I liked about Paint.Net is the Unlimited History feature. In simple terms, you have the option of unlimited undo. After applying huge range of effects, you can still rollback to the original image at ease. The length of the history is only limited by available disk space.
