How to Get Windows 7 Calculator in Windows Vista

Ever since the release of Windows 7 pre-beta build, its getting recognition from all over the world. People have started customizing their older version of Windows to get new Windows 7 look and feel. To continue our own series of customizations, here is yet another tutorial to get Windows 7 Calculator in Windows Vista.

The Calculator provided in Windows 7 is different than the previous versions of Windows and the most important thing is that it works fine in Vista as well. So all Windows Vista users who want to try this extraordinary Windows 7 Calculator, just follow these very simple steps:-

  1. Download [via] and unzip the Windows 7 Calculator .rar file.
  2. Run the file Calc.exe to get the Windows 7 Calculator.

Or, if you want to permanently replace Vista Calculator with Windows 7 Calculator follow the below mentioned guidelines:-

Instead of running the file Calc.exe (which you downloaded earlier), just copy paste this file to the path \Windows\System32\ and another file calc.exe.mui (in en-US folder) to the path \Windows\System32\en-US\. It will ask whether you want to overwrite existing files or not, just click on YES and that’s it you have permanently replaced your old Calculator with the new Windows 7 Calculator.

Note:- Please DON’T FORGET to take the backup of the existing files before you overwrite them with the new ones.

  1. I am using Vista but this function is not working in it.. I followed the whole procedure but when I run calculator same old calculator is coming.
