Dell’s Latitude XT2 Tablet PC with MultiTouch Features

Dell has announced the Latitude XT2 Tablet PC which is the first Tablet PC with multi touch screen capabilities. It allows users to use natural gestures like pinch or tap for scrolling, panning, rotating and zooming. A programmable double tap feature is also provided to launch the browser or turn the screen off.

The Touchscreen Tablet PC will be powered by 1.2-GHz or 1.4-GHz Intel Core 2 Duo SU9300 processors and can have DDR3 RAM upto 5 GB with a choice of 80GB or 120 GB Hard Drive or 64GB or 128GB SSD. It weighs around 1.64kg and sports a 12.1 inch WXGA display. It has Intel Integrated Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD and optional fingerprint and smart card reader. It will come with either XP or Vista and will have security features like the company’s ControlVault and ControlPoint Security Manager and will have sound connectivity thanks to a new LCD-based wireless antenna. It also promises 11 hours and 28 minutes of battery life when using the 6 cell batteries.

The Tablet PC is now available and starts at a price of Rs 1,25,000.
