Nokia Announce 6260 Slide Phone for High Speed Sharing

Mobile Phones are not just used to make phone call these days. They have now become a source of entertainment, games and are also used to share content with family and friends. Keeping this is mind, Nokia have announced the 6260 Slide phone which is especially made for sharing photos, videos with friends and also to keep in touch using social networks.

The phone is a S40 device and has a 5MP camera with Carl Zeiss lens which can take wonderful photos which can then be uploaded and shared using photo or video sharing sites. Apart from it, the phone will come with Nokia Maps and assisted GPS which will simplify navigation. It is the first S40 phone to have a GPS. The phone will have 3G and will come with High Speed uploading (HSUPA) and downloading (HSDPA). This will make sharing much easier and faster. The phone will also have a music player and it will enable sharing of music also. The phone will have a 360° navigation key which will make Internet browsing a pleasant experience and will provide quick access to search engines.

The phone will be available in two colors – Black and Silver. It will be available from January 2009 for an estimated price of EUR 299.
