Sandisk have released there new mp3 music player called Sansa Slotmusic which has been designed to be used with the slot Music cards that were launched by Sandisk. It can play music from slotMusic card albums or from a microSD card that contains music.

It is a very simple music player and you don’t have to manage it with a PC or anything. Neither does it has any screen, features or internal memory. Just insert a slotMusic card or a microSD card in the slot provided and start listening to music by plugging in the headphones. Songs will be played in the album order and you can pause or skip tracks using the buttons provided. Though it is very barebone, it does look stylish. It is powered by a single AAA battery that can play it for 15 hours.

It is quite cheap and is available for $19.99 while the artist branded version will cost you around $34.99. It is available for purchase in the US.

  1. I’ve been a big fan of the Sandisk players for a long time and am amused that this is being branded as a new player since this is basically how I’ve been using their USB popular ones. Even though I like the new design, I’m a bit turned off by it being powered by a battery. USB charge is awesome.
