Sony Ericsson R300

Sony Ericsson has launched a new entry level phone in India. The Sony Ericsson R300 Radio is a smart looking and inexpensive candy bar phone that doubles as a very small portable FM/AM radio. It is targeted for people who are radio enthusiasts or people who don’t want to spend too much on a MP3 player phone.

The R300 is designed to have a clear radio look-and-feel. There are preset buttons on the front and they let you switch easily between your favourite stations. It takes just one click to boost the volume when you want to share music on the radio or the live action from the sports ground. It also has a TrackID™ feature which enables users to record a clip of a song from an external source, such as a sound system in a coffee shop or bar, and find out within seconds who sang it, the name of the track and which album it is from. All in just one click. The Sony Ericsson R300 has a basic 128 x 160 pixel display, a 0.3 megapixel resolution (VGA) camera, a WAP browser and Bluetooth. A stereo wired headset is included in the box. The R300 radio weighs only 75 grams, has 9 hours maximum talktime and it has 16 days standby times.

The R300 Radio is available in two colours: Antique Copper and Steel Black. It is available in India for a price of Rs 4395.
