Motorola is going to introduce three new mid range handsets in the market. They include the ZN200 slider, W396 flip phone and W388 candybar phone.These phones will have specification likely to be matched by a modest price tag.
The ZN200 is a slider phone which features a 1.9 inch display, a 2 megapixel camera for pictures and videos, CrystalTalk technology, an MP3 player with radio and up to 2GB microSD card support. It also comes with quad-band GSM support with GPRS and EDGE connectivity options. It also features Stereo Bluetooth and USB. It comes with a built-in memory of 30MB.
The W396 is a flip phone and has two dual-band GSM versions. A 1.8″ 65K-color TFT display with a resolution of 128 x 160 pixels is fitted on the device. It features USB, FM radio and Motorola’s proprietary CrystalTalk technology . It has an MP3 player and a dedicated music key but it has got a VGA camera. It has support for GPRS but no EDGE. A microSD card slot allows expanding the internal memory by up to 2GB.It has got compact dimensions of 95 x 45 x 17 mm and its weight of 88-94g(undecided).
The W388 has similar features like that of W396. It is a candybar cell phone. Its features include a music player with Moto ID and FM radio and a good battery which will get you 9 hours of talk time or 16 days of standby. The microSD slot will get your memory up to 2GB. The W388 is a quad-band GSM handset and it comes with CrystalTalk technology support. It will feature a 1.8″ 128 x 160 pixel 65k-color display and will have two dual-band GSM versions with only GPRS support.
There is no news regarding the price or availability of these three handsets but they are expected to arrive at the end of third quarter.
