Fans of Motorola ROKR series are sure to be pleased as Motorola has added three new rock-star to there ROKR series – the new EM 30, EM 28 and EM 25. All three feature 3.5mm stereo jack, Stereo Bluetooth, FM radio with RDS, and microSD slot for memory. EM30 is claimed to support cards up to 8GB (High Capacity) while the others just up to 2GB.
Moto ROKR EM 30 can be called as the replacement to E8. With its ‘ModeShift’ technology, it can transform itself to a music phone whenever desired. It shows the numeric keys by default but music shortcuts when the player is used. It also includes a second-fast mp3 downloads, a FM radio powered by RDS technology. It has quad-band GSM running on Linux-JAVA OS, with QVGA display and 2-megapixel camera. It also features USB 2.0 and support for Windows Media Player 11. Moto ROKR EM 28 is the clamshell model. On its front side when closed it houses the 1.3MP camera lens with 4X zoom, a small black and white display and touch keys which are illuminated when the player is active. It has 1.8” 128×160 color display. Its music playback time is approximately 11 hours. This quad band GSM phone supports mp3, midi, wav, aac, aac+, amr, real audio formats. It also includes a text to speech recognition along with an airplane mode. It has a 3d sound effect for surround sound music experience along with an equalizer with 11 presets. It has around 450 minutes of talktime and 250 hoursof stand by time.
Moto ROKR EM 25 is the slider, the smallest and cheapest of the three. It also has 128×160 1.8” display and 1.3MP camera. It also has a built in FM radio with RDS, a music key along with a stored music library. It also features FM share which lets you share your fav FM stations with friends by sending them text message. It is also a GSM based phone and has support for may music formats, a music key and has Crystal Talk technology.
The trio phones will be released later this quarter. The EM 30 will be released first in Taiwan followed by rest of the world while the other two phones will be released globally. No news about pricing has yet been announced.
