LG is also going to jump in the 8 MP bandwagon. In July, there were rumors about LG working on a 8 MP phone, but now it is indeed confirmed that LG’s 8 MP phone KC 910 is all set for an October launch. After the announcement of Sony Ericsson C905 and Samsung i8510, it was expected that LG will be introducing their new mobile device with 8 megapixel camera.
The LG KC910 will come with a touchscreen display and is a successor of the popular Viewty which has sold more than 2 million units till now. The presence of touch screen may also treat it as an iPhone competitor. Besides having 8 Megapixels, it has Schneider-Kreuznach lens, auto focus, xenon flash, VGA video recording (30fps and 120 FPS at QVGA) and lens cover. And the camera also supports geotagging with on-board GPS which is becoming quite a common feature these days. Other camera features include option for manual focus, face, smile and blink detection and digital image stabilizer.
At 14mm thickness, LG announces the KC910 as the slimmest 8MP phone on the market. It has a 3-inch TFT touch screen with a 240 x 400 pixel resolution and 256k colors. With respect to connectivity, the KC910 is a quad-band GSM with support for HSDPA 7.2 Mbps. It has Bluetooth 2.0, WiFi and microSD slot with support for upto 8GB. It has a Flash User Interface, Dolby technology for an exquisite audio experience, internal GPS, TV out and DivX support.
The pricing details will be announced very soon. So in the coming months, we are going to see the battle between then Sony Ericsson C905, Samsung i8510 and LG KC 910. It will be interesting to see which one will win ?
