Samsung is definitely following the strategy of launching the phones in the market which have been neglected by the mobile industry.

Though it hasn’t got the new and stylish features of modern smartphones, it will surely interest a lot of people who do a lot of outdoor activity. It has quad-band GSM/GPRS + EDGE radio along with a 1.9 inch 176 X 200 TFT display screen. It has a music player along with the FM radio and RDS. It has 30 Mb of internal memory and upto 4GB expandable memory by microSD card. It also supports Bluetooth 2.0 and USB 2.0 . One interesting feature of this phone is that it contains a built in compass and an altimeter.

Though it doesn’t have a lot of stylish features, its rugged nature and the inbuilt compass and altimeter may attract a few people. And it is also protected from the direct sprays of water. It will be available it the end of the summer at the price of $330.
