Creative Zen X-Fi

A few days ago, there was a lot of rumours about the new Creative Zen player. The good news is that Creative has officially announced the Zen X-Fi with Wireless LAN digital media. Creative have announced two new media players, the Zen X-Fi with and without Wireless LAN support. Both these players will have Xtreme Fidelity X-Fi audio technology. Some of its other talents are wireless streaming and content sync from a PC, together with instant messaging via the onboard Yahoo! and MSN clients.

The PMP’s  support MP3, WMA and unprotected iTunes music. The EP-830 premium quality in-ear earphones are bundled with the players. The WiFi version enables users to stream and download music wirelessly and playback in X-Fi audio quality. The player can access music on home PC from any room and they are also equipped with speakers. The capacity of these portable music players will range from 8GB, through 16GB and topping out at 32GB.  Unfortunately the smallest model won’t include WiFi.  All models will have a 2.5-inch LCD display, SD/SDHC expansion card slot, FM radio and voice  recorder.  The interesting thing is that these are the first PMPs from Creative to carry the company’s clever X-Fi audio enhancing technology.  In this case there are two systems, Crystalizer claims to fill in detail lost during music compression, while Expand increases range and virtual effect.  X-Fi is really something worth looking forward to.

Users will also be able to get in touch with friends and relatives through WiFi version. The Facility of free instant messaging over popular IM services including Yahoo! Messenger and Windows LiveWindows LiveMessenger is incorporated with the player. The Creative ZEN X-Fi with Wireless LAN is now available in the Singapore market and at the Creative online store for $399.00 and the Creative ZEN X-Fi will be available later this month in for $229.00.
