Cowon Unveils P5 Music Player

Cowon has launched its P5 luxury media player in the market. The 5 inch player comes with a ‘luxury hairline metal’ giving it a rich and sophisticated look. Not only does it have amazing and stylish looks, it is also crammed with lot of features.

Its features include 5 inch touchscreen with 800 x 480 PX resolution, Widget and Haptic User interface, T-DMB TV tuner, FM radio, Bluetooth, video and music player (AVI, ASF, WMV, MPG, OGM, DivX, Xvid, MPEG4, WMV9, MP3, WMA, AC3). Not only this, it also has photo player, a document viewer an electronic dictionary along with USB host and USB 2.0. The Cowon P5 runs on the RMI Alchemy AU1250 700Mhz CPU. It is available in 40GB, 60GB, and 80GB storage options. The user interface of the P5 looks quite nice and engaging. Though the Cowon P5 has no integrated Wi-Fi, but it allows use of a WiFi USB stick to connect to the Internet and use the Windows CE browser. The measurement specification of the P5 is 138.8 x 88.5 x 20.0 mm and its weight is 380g. Its battery can support video playing for continuous 9 hours and audio for as long as 14 hours.

The Cowon P5 luxury PMP will be available in the colors of black, platinum and red. It will be hitting the market on July 29 in Korea. No pricing details has yet been announced.
