Sony Launches new PMP in India

Sony has launched there new PMP, the Sony NWZ-A726 Walkman player. Similar to the other PMPs, it has music, photos and video playback. It has support for mp3, WMA, AAC and linear PCM music formats, support for JPEG for pictures and MPEG-4 codec for video playback.

It even has Sony’s clear audio technologies which are - Clear Bass, Clear Stereo, Digital Sound Enhancement Engine and and 13φ EX Headphones. These features enhance audio quality by filling in the high tones that can be lost during compression. It also enhances the bass, reduces distortion and creates a better listener experience. It has a 2.4 inch QVGA LCD display that plays video at 30 FPS and portrait and landscape mode. The four way navigation pad makes it easier to browse files and menus.

It has a USB port for connectivity and offers 36 hours of audio playback and 10 hours of video playback. The 4Gb NWZ-A726 is priced at Rs 8,990. It design is sleek and is certainly a good mp3 player to have.
