Nvidia GeForce GTX 280 and GeForce GTX 260 GPU’s for Better Performance

Nvidia has introduced there latest creation into the market which are GeForce GTX 280 and GeForce GTX 260 GPU’s which will considerably improve the computing experience of the users. If anyone is wondering what a GPU is, “It is a special processor that is dedicated for graphics in a game. It takes that load off the CPU”. They are packed in 240 and 192 cores respectively.

These GPU’s will offer support to the CPU and they will both work hand in hand as GPU will takes a few responsibilities of the CPU. This will result in better speed and performance. It is mostly useful for gaming applications as well as for applications that require good speeds. The GTX 280 comes with 1 GB of memory and is suitable for gaming applications whereas the GTX 260 comes with 896 Mb of memory and offers some great performance. Both these devices have the ability to accelerate PhysX applications.

But these are quite expensive. Especially the GTX 280 which is available for $649 and GTX 260 which is available for $399
