Sony has introduced two new Cyber-Shot digital cameras DSC-W300 and DSC-H50. Both of the cameras features Carl Zeiss Optics, Face detection technology, smile shutter and intelligent scene recognition engine. Featurewise Sony Cyber-Shot DSC W300 sports a cool 13.6 megapixel sensor and promises an extra high speed burst mode shooting 3 megapixels photos at 5 fps( frames per second).
Other features includes 3x optical zoom, a 2.7 inch LCD screen, and a handy view finder. Like all other Cybershots this camera also features Super Steady Shot optical image stabilization and a high sensitivity mode which helps in clicking great photos in low light conditions.
Sony Cybershot DSC-H50 is a 9.1 mega pixels which boasts an advanced Sports Shooting Mode that allows for higher shutter speeds of up to 1/4000 of a second. The mode also helps combine higher shutter speeds with predictive continuous auto-focusing to capture fast-moving subjects with minimal shutter lag.![]()
The DSC-H50 comes with a Carl Zeiss 15x optical zoom lens, and a 3-inches tilting LCD screen making for greater creativity while shooting from high or low angles.
Both digital cameras features D-Range Optimizer (DRO) which is applied automatically for image correction if shooting is done in high contrast conditions.
Availabiliy and price:
Sony’s latest CyberShots are expected to ship arou nd Arpil-May 2008 and will retail at $350(approx. Rs 13,300) for W300 and H50 for $400( approx Rs 15,200 ).
