Sony has announced another generation of its Cyber-Shot digital cameras range which includes entry-level point-and-shooters to ultracompact cameras with high-end features. In total Sony revealed eight new cyber-shots including S series DSC-S780 and DSC-S750, the H series DSC-H10, the DSC-T300, and four new W-series cameras: the W120, 130, 150, and 170.
The entry level S series Cyber-Shots S780 and S750(7.2MP) are priced aptly at $150 and $180(8.1MP) respectively, features includes:
Availability : S750 and the S780 are slated for March-April release.
Upcoming Digital Cameras in Sony Cyber-Shot W series :
There will be four new W series models featuring face detection upto 8 people per shot and optimizing flash, white balance, exposure, and focus for clicking a nice picture. The four upcoming cyber shots are DSC-W120/W130 and DSC-W150/W170.
The W120 comes equipped with a 2.5-inch LCD, 7.2MP resolution, and a 4X optical zoom priced at $200 whereas W130 is an 8.1MP camera with the same features as the W120 plus camera retouching priced at $230
Common features of W series:
The other upcoming cybershots W150 and the W170 features intelligent scene recognition (which automatically takes a photo depending on the scene it detects). The W150(8.1 MP) sports a 5X optical zoom, a 2.7-inch LCD priced at $250( Rs 9750) is great deal at that price , the W170 is the high-end version priced at $300 it has 10.1MP sensor other features remains same as above mentioned W series.
Higher end Cyber-Shot segment includes DSC-T300 priced at $400 is high end version replacing the T200 features a 3.5-inch touchscreen LCD with in-camera editing mode , a 10.1MP sensor, and a 5X optical zoom lens.DSC-H10 priced at $300 has a 10x optical zoom, long-distance flash for faraway shots, a Carl Zeiss lens, and a high shutter-speed mode for rapid-fire sports or action shots comes equipped with inbuilt image editing apps.
Availability: T300 is slated for March release whereas H10 will become available in May
