TATA Indicom launches mobile internet radio on its CDMA mobiles in India

Tata Indicom is all set to provide live streaming radio in English, Hindi, Telegu, Tamil and other international languages with MP3 quality sound,Initially there will be around 41 international and local channels which will provide great radio experience to the Tata Indicom customers .The new service is available at a subscription fees of Rs 50 per month and will be available at all Tata Indicom circles.This service could also be accessed at places where Radio services are not present.
Mr. Pankaj Sethi, president of value added services, Tata Teleservices Ltd. said “This innovative product is easy and fun to use and in fact the wireless technology doesn’t even get in the way of a stellar musical experience”.The service is initially available on some selected handsets only. for eg Motorazr V3C, Samsung wideo and Motorola World Phone.

The new service has been developed by the US based company Locate-it Info Inc.in partnership with Tata Indicom.Its been a first of its kind service provided by any Indian wireless carrier.

Among the many music,news and sports channel some prominent ones which will be a part of the new service are BBC,Bloomberg,Fox radio,ESPN radio,Seattle WM.
