OLPC-$150 laptops to be out for testing.
OLPC- One LaptopPer Child Project, previously touted as a $100 laptop for the children of poor countries are to be out for testing soon. It was founded by Massachusetts Institute of Technology , the non-profit “One Laptop per Child” project will roll out nearly 2500 of its $US150-laptops to eight nations in February.
The lappy’s will be available in lime-green-and-white colours, these laptops are scheduled to begin in July, when five million units will be built. The project’s operators say the price should fall to $100 apiece next year, when they hope to produce 50 million of the so-called “XO” machines, before dipping below $US100 by 2010 when they aim to reach 150 million of the world’s poorest children.

Looks like a cool gadget isn’t it.
